A castle under a castle

Located in Anjou, in a park of 20 hectares, near the castle of Saumur and the abbey of Fontevraud, the castle of Brézé is today the property of the Countess and the Count of Colbert, with whom their children Charlotte, Clotilde, Camille and Constance are associated.

This castle presents overall the architectural characteristics of the 16th and 19th centuries, as intended by the two prestigious families who built it, the Maillé-Brézé and the Dreux-Brézé.

The outbuildings that are essential in any seigniorial estate are found there: a dovecote, an orangery and stables built near the castle.

For a very long time, excellent quality wines have been produced in Brézé, sought after by the most demanding wine lovers.
The castle itself is complemented by an extraordinary underground castle, the Roche de Brézé, which we can assure you constitutes a powerful pole of interest since Brézé offers the originality of a most fascinating archaeological site.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the domain will be open to the public on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, without interruption from 9:30 am to 6 pm.
